I'm Andre Augusto, a technical writer, journalist, and software engineer from Brazil 🇧🇷 currently based in Thailand 🇹🇭

I have experience writing code, documentation, content, and marketing copy. That makes me a versatile, unique professional able to play in the intersection of engineering, communication, and marketing.

Before shifting my career towards writing-related roles, I spent 10+ years as a Front-End Developer. Some companies I helped include Samsung, Motorola, Philips, Coca-Cola, and the Federal Government of Brazil.

Although I loved my years as a software developer, writing has always been my main interest. I genuinely enjoy spending my time researching, organizing, and presenting information using plain, professional wording and instructive visual assets.

Due to my years as an engineer, I'm comfortable delivering documentation for APIs, SDKs, and other topics on software development.

In addition to English, I'm a professional writer in Portuguese. I am also able to read and translate from Spanish and Latin.

My international experience includes countries like Brazil 🇧🇷, Argentina 🇦🇷, Thailand 🇹🇭, and Singapore 🇸🇬

About This Website

The Daring Writer is built with Nextra (opens in a new tab) and hosted on Vercel (opens in a new tab). Nextra is powered by Next.js (opens in a new tab) and allows authors to write content in MDX, a file format that enables the use of React components (JSX) inside Markdown.

The website uses a Docs-as-Code workflow. It is maintained in Git and updated by pushing to a repository at GitHub. A continuous integration process automatically builds the website whenever changes are pushed to the main branch of the repository.

The result is an incredibly perfomant static generated website.
